Daily Le Monde described the Atlas of Creation as "an incomparable work" in its 3rd February, 2007, issue.

Despite being unfairly imprisoned in the past for revealing the false foundations of Godless ideologies like Darwinism and perverted satanic philosophies like Freemasonry; Harun Yahya, in a statement he gave, after being sentenced in May 2008, showed amazing Justice, Patience and Trust in Allah in assessing the situation he found himself in. He even commented on the court kindly, justly and patiently , in one part of the text below he said; Let me state once again that I have no complaints regarding the court. I harbor no resentment or recrimination towards anyone. It is Allah Who caused the court to sign that verdict.
So, a person with such a great attitude, what threat could he be against the forces behind his past imprisonment and his recent sentence, is he really that dangerous that he must be jailed despite being innocent, No! The truth is, that he is revealing and destroying the false philosophies of these people which are based in denying God, but Harun Yahya with his works, especially with the Atlas of Creation has shown that there is no doubt about Allah and that philosophies such as Darwinism and Freemasonry are a complete lie and an insult to logic.
Harun Yahya himself says in the text below, that he understands why the forces behind his latest sentence are so upset ; I can understand why the end of Darwinism has upset them so much, because this has really demolished their entire system. Their philosophies, world views and ideologies have been shattered. And they are unable to find an answer to this. All they can do is pressurize.
The freemasons who in all probability are behind this pressure, are obviously trying to intimidate him and scare him; but we see something interesting from the statement of Harun Yahya below; far from being afraid or intimidated, he has given us a perfect example of true faith and of the following verse of the Qur’an;
(Believers are) those to whom people said, ‘The people have gathered against you, so fear them.’ But that merely increased their faith and they said, ‘Allah is enough for us and the Best of Guardians.’ (3:173)
As the verse states in the time of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) the believers were told that people have gathered against them and so they should fear them; but this incident only increased their faith; and they said ‘Allah is enough for us...’.
The text quoted below can be summarised in part, as a statement by Adnan Oktar that Allah is enough for him, part of what he says is; Nobody can hurt me anywhere in any way; only things that my Creator, Almighty Allah, wills to happen actually do so. I shall live by my destiny. Whatever is in my destiny, that is what will happen.
The brilliant and most trusted exegete of the Qur’an, Ibn Kathir, also gives us a similar meaning of the verse in question;
... it means, those who threatened the people, saying that the disbelievers have amassed against them, in order to instill fear in them, but this did not worry them, rather, they trusted in Allah and sought His help, ... (Tafsir Ibn Kathir - Excerpt from the commentary of Surah Al-Imran verse 173.)
Also; his attitude towards the court who took the decision to sentence him for three years in prison is also worthy of noting; as we already mentioned he treated their decision with Justice, Integrity, Patience and Trust in Allah. As a result he obeyed the following command of Allah in the Qur’an in which He asks Muslims to treat people with integrity despite being wronged by them; You who believe! Show integrity for the sake of Allah, bearing witness with justice. Do not let hatred for a people incite you into not being just. Be just. That is closer to heedfulness. Have fear of Allah. Allah is aware of what you do. (5:8)
In another verse of the Qur’an Allah reminds His servants of how excellent an approach like this is, while dealing with other people;
…and, when you judge between people, to judge with justice. How excellent is what Allah exhorts you to do! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. (4/58)

French daily La’ Liberation - April 2008
A blog on evolution called Le blog des bactéries et de l'évolution carried two reports on 8 and 9 February, 2007. These referred to the Atlas of Creation as "this great warship using wide extracts from the verses of the Qur'an."
The 6 February, 2007, edition of daily La Liberation described Harun Yahya as "the greatest champion of creationism in Turkey."
A report in the French political web site Gaullisme said the following in a report dated 3 February, 2007: "... the most active preacher of creationism is, due to the power of the Harun Yahya publications, definitely Harun Yahya himself."
The news agency Armenews carried a report on 18 April, 2007, which contained the words, "The struggle against evolution being waged in Turkey seems to have ended in almost total victory."
In its 5 March, 2007, edition Le Soir, one of Belgium's main dailies, carried a report about the global impact of Harun Yahya's Atlas of Creation. The report, titled "A red book rejects Darwin's thesis," described Harun Yahya's work as "an intervention of genius."
The Polish pro-creation organization Polskie Towarzystwo Kreacjonistyczne stated that "in some countries the author's books are more esteemed than school textbooks..."
Prof. Bernard Rentier of Liege University made this comment on his personal page: "The content is surprising, but effective. One does not dare to think of the impact that will arise following the distribution of the Atlas across the world..."
In its 20 June, 2007, edition Die Welt, one of Germany's largest dailies, carried a long report titled "Struggling with the Qur'an against evolution." The report referred to "the Paris Ministry of Education panicking and calling for the book not to be taught in the class."
Kevin Myers made this reference to the Atlas of Creation in the Irish Independent on 9 March, 2007: "... Harun Yahya's Atlas of Creation from Global Publishing, is quite the most spectacular so far this year."
A report in the 29 March, 2007, edition of Stern, one of Germany's most important magazines, said "A book like a clap of thunder. ... It is obvious from the outset: This book is totally different!"
Another major French daily, La Croix, carried a report dealing with the debate created by Atlas of Creation on 4 February, 2007. The report also carried a few examples of the fossils contained in the Atlas. Comparing a 280-million-year-old fossil frog with a specimen living today, it quoted the Atlas as saying, "living things have stayed the same since the moment they first came into existence, and never underwent evolution."
The 24 June, 2007, edition of The Washington Times carried a report about the Fact of Creation, which is growing increasingly powerful in European countries. The report quoted Hervé Le Guyader, a biologist from Paris University, who called the challenge from Islamic thinkers "much more dangerous than the previous creationist initiatives, which were often of Anglo-Saxon origin."

AFTER HE WAS SENTENCED TO 3 YEARS IN PRISON
ADNAN OKTAR: This is a case that will probably go down in history. I have never heard of, seen or read of such an intriguing case. But we still feel the appropriate respect.
We respect the justice system. We respect the court verdict. There is something auspicious in all things. That verdict had been determined in the sight of Allah before those judges’ parents were even born. They issued the statement when the time came. They issued the statement that was in their destiny. Nobody can decide for himself, nor make any statement of his own volition. Everyone makes the statements determined in their destiny. Why did it happen in that way? Because it was auspicious for it to do so.
As with Prophet Yusuf (as). He was a servant beloved of Allah. Yet Allah had him thrown into a dungeon for seven years. InshaAllah, we are also on the path of the Prophet Yusuf (as). We are on the path of the blessed prophets. We abide by their excellent sunnah. InshaAllah we are doing what is auspicious. Believers are on the path of the prophets, and in the Qur’an, Allah says He wills us to adopt them as role models. He tells us to obey and resemble them. And our lives may have aspects similar to aspects of theirs. These verses of the Qur’an apply to all Muslims. In that sense they also apply to me and to my colleagues. In verse 35 of Surah Yusuf, for example, He reveals: “Then, after they had seen the signs, they thought that they should still imprison him for a time.” The verse suggests there were doubts whether to imprison him or not, but that the former option eventually prevailed. There is indeed a similarity here. Allah says of Yusuf (as) that he was sentenced to at least three years’ imprisonment. The Qur’an refers to several years. That means at least three, somewhere between three and nine. That is a sign. The Qur’an applies to all times, all people and all events, and this is one of the miracles of the Qur’an.
Nobody can hurt me anywhere in any way; only things that my Creator, Almighty Allah, wills to happen actually do so. I shall live by my destiny. Whatever is in my destiny, that is what will happen. The time will come when my soul is taken. When that time comes, He will take my soul. But apart from that, nobody can harm a hair on my head. Nothing can happen to me. Whatever is in my destiny, it will happen when the time comes, at the appointed time.
In the latest events, the latest bit of pressure, we learned that someone we never expected, whom we believed to be a conservative, religious individual, was in fact a Freemason. We were stunned. We really thought he was a devout, right-wing individual, and we trusted him accordingly. But he turned out to be a high-ranking Freemason.
There are eight letters [from foreign Freemasonry], sent here to the [Turkish] lodge. They refer to us, and to me personally, making direct reference to my book, to Atlas of Creation. They refer to my ability to operate without difficulty. They ask how this is possible, how I can enjoy such freedom of action.
They say it [the Atlas] has had a huge impact, like an atom bomb. That is what lies behind the pressure being put on us in recent years. We are even of the opinion that pressure is being put on the government to put pressure on us. I can understand why the end of Darwinism has upset them so much, because this has really demolished their entire system. Their philosophies, world views and ideologies have been shattered. And they are unable to find an answer to this. All they can do is pressurize.
We received a new threat regarding my latest book [on Freemasonry] only yesterday, directed against myself, for the book not to come out; it came from the Freemasons, who phoned a friend of mine. They suggested we would have real problems if the book comes out. But I shall nevertheless be bringing the book out, inshaAllah. I have been threatened before, when I was in the mental hospital. I was told to abandon my activities. At that time they both offered me money and also said they would “get rid of this problem” I was having, and they had my lawyer bring me the message. They offered me a substantial sum of money if I would abandon my work, give up producing books, put a stop to my book regarding Freemasonry, and that the nightmare I was experiencing would be brought to an end. But I declined the offer.
Let me state once again that I have no complaints regarding the court. I harbor no resentment or recrimination towards anyone. It is Allah Who caused the court to sign that verdict. Only one thing in the court decision surprised me and gave me pause for thought, which was that we had three female friends. Like my other friends, they had absolutely nothing to do with the allegations. But they were sentenced to three years’ imprisonment each. These were really well brought-up young ladies. That did surprise me. But again I still respect the court, and there is something auspicious in all things.
