PREFACE

Imagine your family has had a delivery early in the morning. The delivery is of a wooden shed, flat packed ready to assemble.

As you are about to go out to meet some friends, you go in the back garden where your father has unpacked the pieces of the wooden shed.

Your father is sitting in his garden chair with a cup of tea before he begins to assemble the shed.

As you leave, you jokingly say to your father “I expect it to be up by the time I get back”, your father smiles back, and off you go to meet your friends.

Later in the evening you return, just as the sun is going down. The shed is up. You are surprised that it is finished.

Curiously, you ask your father how long did it take to finish it.

Your father says he does not know, because after finishing his cup of tea, he decided to go inside to catch the news bulletin, and then fell asleep on the sofa.

When he woke up and came outside the shed was already up and finished.

Your immediate question to him is “so then who did do it”?

It never even occurs to you that it just happened by itself, because you know that’s ridiculous. You know it must have been someone who put it together.

But then you are even more baffled by your fathers response, who argues that actually it did just happen by itself.

At first u smile and say “you can’t be serious?”, expecting your father to give up the joke saying “got ya”.

But, he is deadly serious, and now you are genuinely worried, you know there must be something seriously wrong with your father, and his powers of reason.

You are astonished that nothing is mentally wrong with your father yet despite this his reasoning is appalling.


THE INTELLECTUAL POVERTY OF DISBELIEVERS

They have hearts they do not understand with. They have eyes they do not see with. They have ears they do not hear with. Such people are like cattle. No, they are even further astray! They are the unaware. (7:179)

This is the same kind of illogical thinking and reasoning that is employed by those who deny the existence of God, Darwinists, Materialists and Atheists are exactly like the father in this example, and when this thinking and behaviour is pointed out to them or  when questioned about it, just like the father, they find absolutely nothing wrong in this flawed thinking.

For example, they find nothing wrong in saying or implying that the bodies of the male and female which were obviously created for each other was due to chance, they imply that chance was able to think and plan, design, both separate bodies and give the male the capability to fertilise the egg in the female body, a completely foreign body,  which knows that it will receive the sperm, which then has a perfectly suited egg for the sperm to lodge in, and the capability to grow a new life inside it, when it is obvious this could not happen except by a miracle, by a supreme intelligence who is Allah, but they find it perfectly fine to ascribe this perfect order and harmony not only between man and woman but all living things to ‘chance’, this can also be thought of as someone denying that it was Sony who created a TV and a Remote Control to work with it, and anyone with a clear conscience will realise how absurd this is. Or were they created out of nothing, or are they the creators? (52:35)

Their Messengers said, ‘Is there any doubt about Allah, the Bringer into Being of the heavens and the earth? He summons you to forgive you for your wrong actions and to defer you until a specified time.’(14:10)

For someone to be educated and intelligent  and still arrive at the same conclusion, just as the father in the example, must mean at least two things, either the person in question is extremely blind and ignorant or he has an ulterior motive, in the case of the Darwinists, Materialists and Atheists it is usually the latter, that is, to deny the existence of God at all costs, but also to get as many people as possible to think the same way, thus thinking that it will ease their fear and insecurity at the thought of His existence.

The complex and symbiotic designs of everything in the Heavens and the Earth and all living beings is one of the greatest and irrefutable signs of Allah’s existence. Harun Yahya gives us a short example of recognising the design in all things, which should naturally lead to one realising the existence of Our Supreme and Magnificent Lord, Allah;

Nothing that has order or beauty could have come into existence on its own or by chance. Wherever things show evidence of balance, design, or beauty, someone had to have ordered them and brought them into being. Anyone who sees an ordered geometrical shape or a single letter of the alphabet drawn on a piece of paper will know that they have been drawn by someone with intelligence. The universe, in all its calculated balance, is surely the work of a supremely intelligent Creator. That Creator is Allah, the Lord of all things.
Therefore, what we see, hear, and feel all reveal Allah, the Creator of heaven and Earth. He has created things in order to manifest His attributes in them. It is enough to think about the universe’s perfection and matchless beauty to become aware of this clear truth, because all of the facts of creation clearly show that this glorious order belongs to someone.

Yet, to see this amazing design, order and balance in the heavens and the earth and still claim that it was the result of chance or happened by itself is ludicrous and a great insult to logic and the human intellect, it is an act of debasement to ones own intellect and soul.  It is like a blind person being offered a chance to be able to see and that person declining.

This can also be thought of as deliberately choosing  not to use ones intellect, deliberately ignoring the crystal clear existence of Allah, Allah also informs us in the Qur’an of a similar state of …people who do not believe..;

No self can believe except with Allah’s permission. He places a blight (a scar, a blot, a disease) on those who do not use their intellect. Say: ‘Look at what there is in the heavens and the earth.’ But Signs are of no avail to people who do not believe. (Qur’an 10/100,102)

Infact, because disbelievers (Darwinists, Materialists and Atheists ) do not use their intellect properly, in the Qur’an they are described as having the same kind of awareness as animals or even further astray, this is ironic, since Darwinists do believe themselves to be fundamentally animals and are more than happy about this;

We created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts they do not understand with. They have eyes they do not see with. They have ears they do not hear with. Such people are like cattle. No, they are even further astray! They are the unaware. (7:179)

The difference is that unlike animals, Allah gave these disbelievers an intellect and reason and the ability to think, yet despite these they will still claim that ‘chance’, ‘evolution’, ‘natural selection’, etc, have the power to plan, design and create, and bring about the amazing design in the heavens and the earth and all living things, this is similar to past pagan societies who carved idols of wood and believed that they had power over them and controlled their lives.

Darwinism’s foremost idol is the “idol of chance.” Whatever Darwinist text you read, you will see claims about the power and limitless abilities of “natural selection,” the lifeblood and essence of Darwinism.

In another article Harun Yahya explains just how absurd this reasoning is;

According to Materialist-Darwinists, chance events have greater intelligence than every person in the world—no matter how many people have come and gone. They claim that a genius called "chance" has shaped everyone's brain, cognitive ability, judgment, memory, and countless other human characteristics for hundreds of thousands of years.

Words cannot fully express just how those who disbelieve have been deceived by Shaytan to the point that the obvious existence of Allah is either obscured from them (which is due to their own arrogance and denial) or deliberately ignored, because of their extreme insecurity at the thought of His existence. Say: ‘Look at what there is in the heavens and the earth.’ But Signs are of no avail to people who do not believe. (Qur’an 10/100,102)

How many Signs there are in the heavens and earth! Yet they pass them by, turning away from them. (Surah Yusuf 12/105)


The following are just a few examples of the Design of the Heavens and the Earth and Living Beings, and even these few signs are enough to show the crystal clear existence of Allah.


WATER

For example, the viscosity of water is just right for living things, including you, if the viscosity of water was different from its actual value your heart would struggle to pump the blood around your body, think of trying to suck Honey through a straw and then compare that with sucking water, which is easier? The viscosity of water has been set at just the right amount, not too high and not too low, but exactly what is  needed for human life to exist and continue.

Allah informs us in the Qur’an that He Created all things and then ordered them precisely (precise values); He created everything and determined it most exactly. (Qur'an, 25:2)


THE SUN, MOON, THE EARTH, NIGHT & DAY

He has made night and day subservient to you, and the sun and moon and stars, all subject to His command. There are certainly Signs in that for people who use their intellect. (Surah An-Nahl 16:12)

The sun that Allah created also has precise values that have all been measured out for the comfortable continuance of human life, its distance is perfect for human life, it could not of been further away or nearer, for then, either we would freeze to death or scorch to death. Alternatively if the Sun was bigger or smaller than its actual size this would also be the same result, therefore, the distance of the Sun to the Earth and it size is are all precisely calculated for the benefit of mankind.  

If the distance between the Earth and Moon was any smaller the Moon would crash into the Earth. If it were any further the Moon would become lost in space. And He has made the sun and moon subservient to you holding steady to their courses, and He has made the night and day subservient to you. (14:33)

The earths axis that has a 23 degree angle of tilt to its orbit, plays an important part in giving us the four seasons we have. But if this angle was any greater or any less then the temperature difference between the seasons would become abnormally extreme, which would give us such hot summers that it would become unbearable for us and our winters would become so cold that it would be extremely difficult to continue living.

If the speed at which the earth revolves was any slower then the temperature difference from day to night would grow enormously. If the speed was faster than the current value then atmospheric winds would reach enormous speeds, and the earth would be impossible to live on because of cyclones and storms.


THE EARTHS ATMOSPHERE

If the ozone layer was any thicker than it is, the temperature of the earth would decrease vastly. And, if the ozone layer was any less thicker then the earth would overheat and would not be protected from the harmful ultraviolet rays that are emitted by the Sun.

In the Qur’an our Lord Allah informs us that he has made the sky like a protecting roof, and He informs us that it is one the Signs of His Existence; We made the sky a preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from Our Signs. (21:32)

Interestingly, Allah informs us at the end of the verse that despite such a clear indication of His existence, … still they turn away from Our Signs. (21:32)

Another example can be seen in the  gases that surround us. The Nitrogen  that is 77%, the Oxygen which is 21%, and Carbon Dioxide which is 1% percent are exactly as needed for Human life to continue.

For example, if the value of oxygen were more than 21%, many problems would manifest, that would cause mans continuance to become extremely difficult, Harun Yahya explains;

If the oxygen quantity in the atmosphere were greater than 21%, the cells in our body would soon start to suffer great damages. The vegetation and hydrocarbon molecules needed for life would also be destroyed. If this quantity were less, then this would cause difficulties in our respiration, and the food we eat would not be converted into energy. Therefore, the 21% oxygen in the atmosphere is the most ideal quantity determined for life.

He continues and explains that it is not just Oxygen but the rest of the gases that could not be any other value than they are, or Human existence would become difficult to continue;

No less than oxygen, other gasses like nitrogen and carbon dioxide are also arranged in the ideal quantity for the needs of living beings and the continuity of life. The amount of nitrogen in the atmosphere has the ideal ratio to balance the harmful and burning effects of oxygen. This ratio represents the most appropriate value required for photosynthesis, which is essential for life's energy supply on the earth. Moreover, the amount of carbon dioxide has the most appropriate value that is needed to maintain the stability of the surface temperature of the earth and to prevent heat loss especially at night time. This gas, comprising 1% of the atmosphere, covers the earth like a quilt and prevents the loss of heat to space. If this amount were greater, the temperature of the earth would increase excessively, causing climatic instability and posing a serious threat against living beings.

We have created all things in due (appropriate, exact, precise) measure (Design). (54:49)


Or did they create the heavens and the earth? No, in truth they have no certainty. (52:36)


CONCLUSION:

Chance is Not a Conscious and Intelligent Being,
Allah is the Creator of Everything.

Say: ‘Can any of your partner-gods bring creation out of nothing and then regenerate it?’ Say: ‘Allah brings creation out of nothing and then regenerates it. So how have you been perverted?’ Say: ‘Can any of your partner-gods guide to the truth?’ Say: ‘Allah guides to the truth. Who has more right to be followed–He Who guides to the truth, or he who cannot guide unless he is guided? What is the matter with you? How do you reach your judgement?’ (Yunus 10:34-35)


To say that chance was responsible for the amazing harmony, balance, design, symbiosis and intricacies of the heavens and the earth (of which some examples have been given above) and all living things is as nonsensical and deluded as someone trying to convince people that milk is not white.

This is the shame of the scientific community; science is a means to the truth, yet all those scientists and experts with a Materialist bent  have deceived  people and presented  ‘chance’  as scientific, when it is not even one iota scientific, but a miserable logical dead end. As a result, all those biased scientists (with a materialist bent) have undermined all  honest scientists and have shamed the name of science, today the very science that these people twisted to their own materialist bent has shown there is no doubt about the existence of Allah (see the works of Harun Yahya) and  that not even a single protein can come about by chance, yet for hundreds of years school children, students at college, at university, etc, have been tacitly taught that chance is like an intelligent being that can plan, design, and create the amazing design and harmony in the heavens and the earth and not only that but the respect and prestige that comes with honest scientists  was and is abused by these materialist-scientists to the point that people have accepted their biased lies without even batting an eyelid (trusting that because they are scientists, they have an obligation to always be truthful), this can be considered a real crime against humanity and all honest scientists of the past and present.

As for those who disbelieved and barred access to the way of Allah, We will heap punishment on top of their punishment because of the corruption they brought about. (16:88)

Those who disbelieve spend their wealth barring access to the Way of Allah. They will spend it; then they will regret it; then they will be overthrown. Those who disbelieve will be gathered into Hell. (Surah Al-Anfal 8:36)

Finally to finish, we will quote the words of the brilliant Harun Yahya who makes the following very important statements regarding the imaginary being and power called ‘chance’, and see how ridiculous it is:

Darwinists attribute to chance events something like supreme intelligence and accept the idea that total of millions of chance events, coming one after another, have "creative power." According to Darwinists, chance events have a far greater intelligence than all people on Earth. No matter how many people have lived and died over the eons, Darwinists claim that every one of their brains, intelligence, cognitive faculties, judgment, memory, physical characteristics and thousands of other qualities have been formed by chance. According to Darwinists, a cell that the world's most intelligence scientists could not produce with the highest technology could arise by the chance interaction of unconscious atoms. Moreover, such chance events have been able to produce geniuses like Einstein, Pasteur, Galileo and Newton. Certainly, these claims are beyond all sense. The creator of all existing things is Almighty God, with His eternal power.

The evolutionists claim that a combination of time and chance turned muddy water into skilful, successful, intelligent beings with beauty and perfect senses of sight and hearing. Do you think that the men and women you see on these pages, known for their talent and success, could be the result of chance, time and muddy water? Consider for a moment:

Could living things claimed to be the product of chance take pleasure from beauty and art?
Could beings who write screenplays, compose music, direct and act in films be the work of chance?
Could such beings win an Oscar?
Could beings created by chance have the imagination to write novels hundreds of pages in length?

No is surely the only answer to all these questions. No matter how much time chance is given, it cannot turn muddy water into a human being and later provide him or her with these creative qualities. Simply the negative answers to these questions are enough to invalidate the theory of evolution. Clearly, all the beings who could succeed in these endeavors are works of God's supreme knowledge and creative power.

Because God created them with these talents, inspired in them artistry and acting ability, and gave them a good voice, they are successful artists.

THE LAST WORD:

THE DISBELIEVERS HAVE BEEN OVERTHROWN

Those who disbelieve spend their wealth barring access to the Way of Allah. They will spend it; then they will regret it; then they will be overthrown. Those who disbelieve will be gathered into Hell. (Surah Al-Anfal 8:36)

Materialist - Scientists have spent all their lives, time, education, wealth and money defending this imaginary god ‘chance’ but have had it thrown back in their faces, they have been overthrown, ridiculed and shamed, even if they cant see this themselves, they are in an intellectual crisis and dead end. Backed into a corner what can they do, but of two things, admit their defeat or keep on defending this miserable logic of  ‘chance’ out of shame at how they themselves could ever be fooled by such a flimsy logic that chance has all the intelligence and creative power that really belongs to the Real Absolute Being, that is Our Beloved Creator Allah, who has power over all things;

He is Allah–there is no god but Him.
He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible.
He is the All-Merciful, the Most Merciful.
He is Allah–there is no god but Him.
He is the King, the Most Pure, the Perfect Peace,
the Trustworthy, the Safeguarder, the Almighty,
the Compeller, the Supremely Great. Glory be to
Allah above all they associate with Him.
He is Allah–the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form.
To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.
Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies Him.
He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.
(Qur'an, 59:22-24)

That is Allah, your Lord. There is no god but Him, the Creator of everything. So worship Him. He is responsible for everything. (6:102)
